Thank you for getting involved!
Our mission is to bring concerned citizens from all 159 counties in Georgia, like you, together to get your voice heard in a clear and authoritative manner at the State Capitol. The Weekly Enumerator is dedicated to gathering opinions that center around policy and legislative initiatives being considered by the Georgia Assembly.
Each year during the 40-day session of the Georgia General Assembly, which convenes in January, hundreds of pieces of legislation are considered. Without exception, each bill introduced and considered has an effect on our individual liberties or tax burden. Helping you understand which of these bills may have the largest impact on your family and encouraging you to stay involved in the vote of your representatives is the only role of the Weekly Enumerator.
Each week we educate and survey engaged citizens from all 159 counties on specific Georgia legislation. Our purpose is to inform you of the most critical impending pieces of Georgia legislation, engage you in the vote before it happens. WE provide you not only with a view into your fellow citizens’ opinions but also a direct line of communication to every legislator in the Georgia General Assembly.
You will receive a simple survey weekly in which you respond with an up or down vote on the policy or legislation in front of the Assembly. You will also have the option to explain, in your own words, why you agree or disagree with the policy. As a survey respondent, you will also be emailed a FREE copy of the Weekly Enumerator so you can keep tabs on how each item of policy or legislation is viewed by your neighbors at the local, regional, and state level.
The Weekly Enumerator is a nonpartisan survey vehicle for understanding popular opinion. So whether you or your legislator is a Democrat, Libertarian, Republican, Independent or other affiliated party; you are welcomed to participate and guaranteed that the sentiment of each citizen of the state is equally considered and dutifully reported. The functioning of democracy depends on each voice. We are firmly committed to doing our part in ensuring those voices are heard by our legislators.
We encourage all citizens who are concerned about the direction of our state government to make your voice heard.
A review of the weekly legislation and a vote on the survey will take less than 5 minutes of your time. But this 5 minutes could have a huge impact on the actions of our state representatives. When it comes to good government -- the Key is WE!
